Virgil Abloh presents a new vision of Air Jordan 1 X Off White University Blue

In one of the latest pieces from the Swoosh’s work with Virgil Abloh, we get a look at the Off-White x Air Jordan 1 Powder Blue. Of course, most people will know this isn’t Abloh’s first attempt at rethinking the Air Jordan 1.
Highlighting his first official collaborative release with Nike, the Air Jordan 1 has been an object of fascination for the designer for quite some time. In fact, this shoe represents our first real look at what is now recognized as an Off-White staple.

Back when Virgil first walked onto Nike HQ in Oregon, he picked out a few shoes and spent the day taking them apart and literally going at them with an Exacto knife. The Air Jordan 1 would be one of those selected models.
Virgil cut open several sections and decided he wanted to reveal all of the goodness that went into putting this shoe together. This inspired his overall take of deconstruction, giving us this unique look on an all-time banger.
Virgil Abloh seems to be particularly fond of Nike and an hard fan of Jordan 1 as well.

Here, we get the UNC flip on last year’s more Chicago-themed pair. The shoe’s build is effectively the same. As such, it sports that high-grade leather and tangible notes of exposed design.
This is our third look at the shoe, having also recently seen a White iteration release. At this point, we know the story behind the structural design and, though it’s significant, that may not be what drives the hype of this release.

Unlike the previous pairs, the UNC model comes with a more contemporary background. It references a time before MJ was in the league, but sports a color scheme that has been a Summer favorite for decades.
Jordan Brand has made quite the habit of dropping the lighter shades of Blue during the hotter months. The results have been nothing but encouraging thus far.

 We could be looking a potential "UNC" color way of the Virgil x Air Jordan 1 silhouette.  The continuation of Nike's collaboration with Off White creator, Virgil Abloh, is speculated to drop May 2018 for a retail price of $169.99 USD.  The "University Blue" color will feature orange stitching this time around and set to be a regional exclusive release.  Just like the last color way of the Virgil Abloh x Air Jordan 1 release, available exclusively in Europe, this sneaker is set to drop in the only in the US.  As for the retailers of the shoe, there hasn't been any information on the subject.

Jordan Air Jordan 1 x OFF-WHITE NRG White Online

Virgil Abloh continued to focus his design attention on the Air Jordan 1 in 2018 by dropping a massively anticipated white colorway. The Air Jordan 1 x Off-White “White” was even harder to come by than the initial “Chicago” colorway that came out in 2017. The white version released exclusively at select retailers in Europe, and instantly became one of the most sought after sneaker releases of the year.

It´s only five days since the brand new Off-White x Air Jordan 1 'NRG' has been released but it´s already the most desired shoe of the year 2018 and we want to make sure that everybody who had no luck at the raffles to get the real thing!
Let´s start with a general overview over the box. After Virgil Abloh designed "inside-out" boxes for the original "The Ten" the creative mastermind behind Off-White has now redesigned the classical Air Jordan 1 boxes by including a cut-out display.

 Fear of God founder Jerry Lorenzo is back with another highly sought-after sneaker release. This high-fashion, street-influenced brand imparts some serious curb appeal against the iconic Vans vault UA ERA.

Contemporary detailing can be see throughout including the prominent use of branding which has been a domineering trend for 2018. The repeated use of the Fear Of God insignia further cements this as an exclusive.
Whilst there is a more laid-back colourway to choose from, this style is accented by bold hits of red to corduroy, suede overlays across the toebox, heel and tongue. Finally, dual branding is plastered to the inner solebed.

The L.A.-based brand has once again teamed up with Vans, this time on some more unconventional styles.
Even though Fear Of God continues to reign over the worlds of ready-to-wear fashion and highest-end streetwear (and make custom jackets for our “Citizen of the Year” Colin Kaepernick), founder and designer Jerry Lorenzo has never lost sight of the brand’s younger, cash-strapped fans. Lorenzo’s mainline label may sell a $1,100 military sneaker, but over the past year he’s worked with Vans to help bring his edgy-casual aesthetic to the masses. And now the two companies are back with a new collection of kicks that won’t wreck your bank account.

All three pairs feature the distinct luxe-streetwear style that has propelled Fear of God and Lorenzo to the top of the game. The Vans x Fear Of God sneaker is a designer take on the Style 147, and comes in striking red, black, and white colorways.

It features a mixed suede and canvas upper, metal “Fear of God” logo hit on the strap, and a drop-in sockliner. For all the logo lovers, there is a duo of Vans x F.O.G. (that’s Lorenzo’s affordable, Cool Teen™ approved sub-label) sneakers, which includes mid-top and low-top styles. Both pairs feature an inverted Fear Of God logo print and are made of a corduroy, canvas and suede with a glossy outsole. Between the entire collection, there is a little something for everyone: minimalists will dig the subtler slip-on, while loud dressers can cop the text-covered kicks.

 Another original feature this model uses is zipper closures on the medial side for a more comfortable wear. Colorway is modeled after the Air Jordan 1 "Top 3", which blends 3 historic Jordan colorways into one unified fusion.

 This Air Jordan 1 release resembles Nike’s “What The” theme by combining original Air Jordan 1 colourways. Those past releases include the “Chicago,” “Banned” and “Royal” colourways that are all mixed throughout the silhouette. The number 3 also ties into Michael Jordan being drafted third overall in the 1984 NBA Draft by the Chicago Bulls.

 The Jordan 1 Retro High OG Top 3 is a "What The" type sneaker and drops on Cyber Monday. The shoe combines elements of 3 different classic Jordan 1 colors (Chicago, Royal, Bred) and combines them into a dope sneaker.

The 35th edition of Nike greatest ever selling shoe lives up to the name! The look has changed over time but the shoe has stayed true to its roots, it’s a fast, lightweight, responsive running shoe.
Now that the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35 has had some time to breathe on the market we handed a pair over to the runners in the office and here’s what they thought.

Once you put your foot into the shoe you instantly recognise the Pegasus has followed in the footsteps of those that have gone before and the one thing that has changes in the 35 years is the lightweight and responsive feel. This is a shoe that is so full of life and gives you instant energy feedback once your foot hit the ground.

The fit and feel has definitely improved. The mesh upper allows your foot to breath while keeping you secure without limiting movement or comfort. The Flywire cables give you that locked down feel and allow you to adjust the wide of the shoe to a certain extent. New to the 35 is the newly located bottom eyelet. You can feel the difference as the eyelets are moved up away from the forefoot allowing better fit and superior flex in transition. Speaking of transition, this has been greatly improved with the all new bevelled heel. This new concept allows for more precise touchdown through the running gait, smooth and comfortable transition from heel to toe pushing you into your next stride. The fact that it looks cool and fast is just a nice added bonus!

 The Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 35 is built for every runner and every run, however I like it as a fast shorter distance shoe. Perfect for 5km like your weekly parkrun or 10km to half marathon. While you can cover the full marathon distance in them I’d recommend this shoe for an advanced to elite marathon runner, if you are a beginning marathoner I’d look for a shoe with more cushioning. The Pegasus is a shoe with neutral support, so it leaves off the extra weight from padding that more supportive shoes would have.

Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 "Pirate Black" Realeae Date Information

The official Adidas Yeezy Boost page was updated showing a black Yeezy Boost 350 releasing on February 19. There have been a lot of rumors that this release would have some differences from the original “Pirate Black” release, but based on the images on the official Adidas page, they look exactly the same as the August 2015  release.

Combinging cutting edge technology, extreme comfort, and one of the biggest names in the world, Nothing has caused the hypetrain to derail quite like the adidas Yeezy 350 Boost.
Following the monstrous hit of the grey Yeezy 350 in June, the adidas Yeezy 350 Boost “Pirate Black” is coming to CityGear.com and select City Gear locations. The dark grey rope laces add a lighter accent to the black upper. Canvas pull tabs and suede “YZY” patch on the inner side of the sneaker further detail this insanely popular silhouette. The black sole continues the dark aesthetic the Yeezy is conveying. The colorway plays off Kanye’s style of neutral tones. Stitching splits the shoe down the center for a high fashion look to stunt with class.

 Yeezy season is approaching once again, and with that comes the release of another new Kanye West designed sneaker. After multiple successful shoe releases with Nike, it’s safe to say that Yeezy hasn’t let up in his time with Adidas. Following up on the success of the Yeezy Boost 750, and the grey Yeezy Boost 350, comes this “Pirate Black” version of latter. The sneaker returns with its signature 350 print design, suede on the side panel, and super cozy boost sole. Contrasting detail lacing is a returning feat of the new “Pirate Black” rendition of the sneaker, and the heel tab sees a contrasting red line detail this time around. Something worthy of noting is that the sneaker will come in half sizes this time around.
