How To Style Balenciaga Triple Pairs Sneakers

For years sneakers leaning toward orthopedic was solely meant for those who get movie tickets on the cheap. Nowadays the clunkier the shoe the more en vogue. From brands like Louis Vuitton with their Arclight, Balenciaga and their Triple S, down to more street brands like Adidas. As a person with narrow feet and thinner legs I can say I don’t typically lean toward chunkier shoes. But I do love sneakers, so that’s changed everything. In today’s post I’m going to share with you how I style the Balenciaga trend. Jump in for more!

You all know how much I love tennis shoes and how I am not opposed to incorporating them into my wardrobe whenever I can. While a lot of people see these as ugly, I can say that I was pretty intrigued at first sight.

The sneaker scene has seen a myriad of changes from its inception decades ago. From classic court shoes to sporty basketball kicks, trends come and go in a cyclical fashion. But no one could really foresee this season’s most popular trend — the ugly “dad” sneaker.

Made popular in the ‘90s, this chunky oversized looking footwear is coming back in style, with models such as 2018 Triple S Grey Yellow Pink Sneakers trailblazing the path. This marks an interesting twist on the normcore aesthetic that’s made waves in the street style scene, and it’s no surprise that brands such as Balenciaga and even old school sneaker label Fila are jumping on that bandwagon.

Balenciaga’s latest offering happens to be this past fashion week’s biggest hit on the streets. The Triple S sneaker is one chunky pair that boasts stacked soles to give the impression of three different styles layered above one another. But what makes this a star sneaker in our eyes is how it has successfully made the ugly sneaker trend a hit with its clash of colours and textures — this includes white/grey nubuck, yellow leather and a faded pink mesh. Wear it with boyfriend jeans, an asymmetrical skirt or even a pair of denim overalls, making it work is easy peasy with all the street style inspo you can glean from fashion week. Here is the link for your shopping:http://bit.ly/2P8BJtb

THE CHUNKY TRAINERS AKA THE BALENCIAGA INSPIRED SNEAKERS YOU KEPT ASKING ABOUT

Hello everyoneee, hope you had a Happy Easter!! How did you celebrate? Would love hearing all your stories! Me and my family will celebrate it this weekend and I cannot wait to stuff my face with all the Easter goodies, haha. Can you tell I’m always excited when it comes to food?! There are only a few days left till then, so in the meanwhile we should talk about the chunky trainers aka the Balenciaga inspired sneakers, which are also known as ‘Triple S’/’dad sneakers’/’ugly sneakers’ or ‘boats’. I’d say that’s a long list of names for a pair of sneakers lol.

First seen on the runway and then on street style stars, models and editors, the Balenciaga Triple S sneakers brought a lot of reactions. Some might like the, some might not, that’s debatable. To be honest, I had mixed feelings about them, but then I started finding them cool. Thought I should give a try to a similar style and ended up ordering these Balenciaga inspired sneakers from Ego. Love how they spiced up my casual weekend attire and I’m curious to see how they will look with feminine pieces. Would you try them?

Virgil Abloh's New Off-White x Blazers - LAUNCHING 3RD OCTOBER

Nike Blazer Shoes, Virgil Abloh will be releasing an upcoming Off-White x Nike Blazer Mid Pack that consists of two colorways, "All Hallows Eve" and "Grim Reepers" for the fall season – both sold separately. This Off-White x Nike Blazer Mid features an upper constructed in a mix of leather, suede, and synthetic. Virgil's signature zip-tie is done in Light Blue – like the Europe-exclusive Off-White x Air Jordan 1. Other details includes a large White Swoosh logo, standard text on the sides as well as the classic "Shoelaces" printed on each pair of laces. This Nike Blazer Mid features a Cream upper with a large Orange Swoosh logo on the sides. Black signature Off-White font, along with a Green tab atop a rubber sole completes the design. They'll also come with a set of colorful laces to enjoy.

A new look at both the black colorway worn by James and the tan/orange make up from fashion week were shared by @artemisyeezy and later included in Off-White's Instagram story along with official nicknames of "All Hallows' Eve" and "Grim Reepers" .

Judging by the Halloween-themed names, it's possible this duo could be released as companions like the recent "Polar Opposite" Air Prestos.

As of now, the black "Grim Reepers" Off-White x Nike Blazer Mid is slated for a September release, while details on the "All Hallows' Eve" pair have yet to emerge, but one could surmise that pair will arrive around October.
